Teaching Personnel are looking for an experienced Youth Worker to join a fantastic school in Burnley.

The youth worker is responsible for supporting the children to ensure the effective delivery of the school’s curriculum.

The ideal candidate will be able to set firm but fair boundaries whilst aiming to remove barriers to learning.

It is important to give regular feedback and encourage their young people to take a responsible and conscientious attitude to their own work and study.

About the SchoolThis Secondary specialist school caters for pupils aged 11 to 16, who have a wide range of needs, including Social Emotional Mental Health.

Their dedicated team, work together to ensure successful outcomes for pupils who often arrive at the school with a troubled view of education and life.

It is essential that the applicant must have prior experience supporting children with SEMH.

As these are challenging environments the applicant must offer strategies for the children to cope with high pressure situations.
