Socitm Advisory has a new opportunity for a Account Director to join our sales team, working with the UK Public Sector.

We are well established in supporting Government as a consulting organisation with particular strength in the effective use of technology and in the achievement of benefits through business process change and transformation.

As a result of our continued growth, achieved through winning and delivering multiple programmes across the UK, we now have an opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Account Director to help drive and expand further our ERP Professional Services offer to our central government clients where you will advise on strategy and help execute with your team

The ERP Account Director (AD) is a leadership role of strategic importance to the future success of Socitm Advisory.

The purpose of this role is to act as a senior advisor to our existing and prospective clients delivering against agreed sales and pursuit plans.

The Account Director is a key member of the Sales Team, and the Team’s objective is to deliver the company’s growth targets.

The role is responsible for identifying and securing growth opportunities within existing client business and new logos.

You will be expected to lead subject matter experts from across our organisation to ensure our clients receive an exceptional sales experience across all key measurables and engagement elements.

You will be instrumental in driving growth and retention across all accounts and therefore experienced in building long lasting and meaningful relationships based on long term strategies and great stakeholder engagement.

Key day to day responsibilities

  • Develop individual account strategies both short and long term to maximise opportunities within the designated/prospective customers.
  • Develop and maintain customer/prospective customer satisfaction in all areas of the Socitm Advisory value proposition.
  • Protect and develop the accounts for Socitm Advisory.
  • Achieve agreed targets for orders, revenue and profitability within the designated accounts
  • Personal responsibility for the development of operational and strategic relationships at all levels with personnel within the customers/prospects.

Experience requiered

An AD’s experience should preferably include: -

  • Experience of Business Development and/or Consulting at a senior level, ideally within a Public Sector facing organisation.
  • Successful experience of selling consulting solutions into public sector organisations
  • Possesses a depth of knowledge in one or more of Socitm Advisory’s propositions.
  • Good commercial understanding of business issues affecting our clients and our business
  • Experience of leading on external presentations, managing Board level stakeholders and creating solutions for customers across the portfolio.
  • Proven ability to develop accounts and in building lasting customer relationships – this includes the confidence to deal with difficult customers and to contribute towards the recovery of challenging relationships and/or programmes.
  • Successful track record of selling solutions and business concepts in major accounts.
  • Developing and implementing a sales strategy into a business.
  • Personally closing significant solutions/services sales.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with senior management in major accounts.
