Page Personnel are working with a well-known organisation within the Public Sector and Government, based in Preston, who are looking to appoint a Senior Accountant on a 12-month fixed-term basis (with the view to become a permanent member of staff.) Within the Finance team they are well-established, friendly and supportive and value their staff. This organisation who have been recently recognised as the most improved in the UK, are ideally looking for someone who understands the importance of government process, policies and legislation and has the ability to deliver on accountancy functions across and number of large and complex organisations.
Job Description
The key responsibilities of the Senior Accountant include preparing and analysing financial statements, budget reports and other documents. To provide an accurate and timely financial information to management, including to the head of finance. You'll be responsible for conducting financial analysis to identify opportunities for strategic financial decisions. Monitor expenditures to ensure they align with the organisation objectives.
