Vacancy - Accounts Assistant - LiverpoolOur client, the best employer in the Northwest, are looking to recruit an experienced Motor Trade Accounts Assistant.Job role:The role of the Accounts Assistant is to support the accountant and the wider management team.For this position, the role will have a focus on bank and balance sheet reconciliations, requiring a high degree of accuracy and a good degree of numerical ability.Within this role, duties include posting daily bank transactions to the accounting system, processing daily cash and card takings and assisting with the sales ledger and purchase ledger to help ensure the smooth running of the team.This is a successful and busy motor retail business and you will be an important part of the accounting team and expected to bring enthusiasm and a good work ethic to the office.You will be proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel and have prior experience working with accounting systems in an accounting environment.Experience in the motor industry and working with the Kerridge DMS would be an advantage but is not essential as on-site training will be given.Analytical/Mathematical skills are a must.Credit ControlAllocating PaymentsSending StatementsChasing PaymentsProviding Weekly reports on customer account status Purchase LedgerPlacing purchase orders for the sales teamMatching Delivery notes to invoicesChecking for any invoice discrepanciesProcess Invoices onto sageCheck supplier statementsGenerate monthly payment listChase credits for any returnsKnowledge of Nominal Codes Salary:£24,400Working hours/days:Monday to Friday - 8.30am to 5.30pm1 hour lunchWho are you applying to?The Solution Automotive Recruitment has been placing candidates into the UK Motor Trade since 1999.
