Agriculture Manager

    Here at British Sugar, we on a transformational journey to strengthen relationships with our 2,300 growers and industry partners – the Agriculture Manager role is critical in making this happen.

    What you will be doing

    Spending a sizeable part of your time on the road, you will be the key point of contact for our sugar beet growers within your region. Our growers are incredibly varied, coming from a wealth of different business set ups and needs.

    We will look to you to work closely with our Growers and take your Grower portfolio to the next level.

    This involves:

  • Creating a great experience for our growers by collaborating and coordinating across British Sugar’s teams and Industry Partners to support Growers and British Sugar’s needs.
  • Identifying and developing revenue potential within your Grower portfolio.
  • Producing robust business plans that focus on our Growers desire to want to grow sugar beet sustainably and efficiently to help maximise their profitability.
  • Detailed understanding of our Growers, their emerging needs, and our competitors.
  • Maintain and ensure accurate Grower data.
  • Influence data driven decision making on farms to promote best practice.
  • What existing skills and experience will you need to be successful?

  • Experience in a field-based role with account management responsibilities and exposure to working alongside KPIs and targets.
  • You are open-minded, with the ability and willingness to embrace change.
  • Someone who takes a solution-led approach to their work.
  • You are an excellent relationship builder.
  • You communicate and interact with people clearly and concisely to positively engage.
  • You know how to use Microsoft’s suite of tools.
  • You have the ability to manage your workload and prioritise to drive results.

  • And of course – a full UK Driving License is essential to reach our Growers!
