School Art & DT Technician based in EnfieldAt Engage Education Services, we’ve built up strong relationships with the fantastic primary schools in, and we are currently recruiting for an Art & DT TechnicianAbout the roleArt & DT Technician responsibilities include: * Prepare practical equipment and other materials for lessons prior to their start time * Clean and tidy classrooms after lessons have taken place * Maintain equipment, resources and classroom equipment * Wash up, clean equipment and pack away appropriately * Carry out stock takes of equipment and resources making a list of materials / supplies for reordering when they are running low * Support teachers with material preparation and assist before, during and at the end of lessons * Experience of Resistant Materials * Fire regulations and escapes - ensure escape routes are kept clear of obstructions * Ensure rooms are prepared at least 10 minutes before the lesson is due to start * Waste materials to be sorted into the correct boxes * The store cupboards are clean and clear of clutter and organised * If a teacher is absent, to ensure that the correct equipment is available in their room at the right time as per their cover lesson notes * Assisting teaching staff and pupils in practical work when requiredAbout you * Experience working in a school environment as a Art/DT Technician * A relevant undergraduate degree * A passion for working in a school environment * Applications welcome from recent graduates with school-based experienceWhy choose to work with Engage Education Services? * We are a widely recognised and award-winning education recruitment company * Receive a £50 Amazon voucher when you refer friends! * We pay all our staff in line with the Agency Worker Regulations, meaning you will be paid equally to a permanent employee * We ensure that you will have your own dedicated consultant who can provide ongoing support and assistance as and when you need itHow to applyIf you’re as excited about this role as we are, you can apply below - or get in touch with us directly.If you’re not contacted within 2 working days, unfortunately you have not been successful for this role.
