Junior Biomedical Scientist Location: LondonCompany Overview:Our private laboratory client is revolutionizing diagnostic services, providing high-tech, rapid solutions across London and beyond.
The lab specializes in PCR testing for SARS-CoV-2 and offers various blood sciences services.
Main Responsibilities:Assist Senior Biomedical Scientists in pathology laboratory operationsManage specimen reception, labelling, sorting, and sending samplesPerform data entry using LIMSHandle pre-analytical sample processing and reagent preparationMonitor fridge/freezer temperatures and manage stockEnsure laboratory equipment and work areas are cleanDispose of chemical and biological wasteMaintain and file records, answer telephone inquiriesParticipate in stainability and social impact initiativesReport results and run EQA samples after trainingRequirements:Previous experience in a diagnostic laboratory (preffered Multi lab) Proficient in pathology disciplines and laboratory information systemsAttention to detail and adherence to lab protocolsBasic knowledge of pathology is preferredStrong data input skillsHCPC registrationMUST HAVE 6 MONTHS MIN UK EXPERINCE WITHIN A DIAGNOSTIC LABORATORY WE ARE NOT ABLE TO OFFER SPONSORSHIP ON THIS VACANCY.
