Business Development Specialist in London

My client is recruiting for a Business Development Specialist to support their Contentious groups. 

Alongside the Senior Business Development and Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of group marketing and business development plans and initiatives to secure new clients, strengthen existing relationships, and increase the practices' visibility.  

This is a fabulous opportunity to join a small yet incredibly busy team where you can be the right-hand person to the Senior Manager. 

Your work will predominantly be with the London office; however, you’ll also work closely with the Middle Eastern and Asian offices. 

About the role:

• Coordinating and supporting the preparation of new business proposals and pitches, client presentations, and responses to RFPs.
• Draft submissions for relevant practices for directory listings and other awards, including Chambers.
• Work with the Events Coordinator to arrange and implement client webinars, roundtables, and other events.
• Produce and update as needed marketing materials such as brochures and descriptions.
• Work with the Communications team to develop and/or update group marketing materials, including client alerts, website content, newsletters, brochures, and other external communication campaigns.

About you:

• Demonstrated background of accomplishment in marketing and business development.  Previous law firm experience is highly desirable.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong work ethic, service orientation, and attention to detail.
• Effective time management and organisational skills.
• Ability to prioritise, multitask, and manage multiple projects.
• Bachelor’s degree required; focus in Marketing/Communications, business, or related field a plus.
• An understanding of contentious practice areas is a plus
