You will focus on category optimisation, process improvement and delivering against individual and departmental goals.In your first few weeks in this Buyer role, you can expect to:Establish and maintain ongoing relationships with preferred suppliersNegotiate prices, agree terms and conditions and where required set up contracts and supply agreementsPerform spend, contract and market analysis for ingredient category for communication to the wider businessWork closely with all sites to manage lead times, minimum order quantities and shelf life to ensure continuity of supply to the site at minimal wastageSource new ingredients and suppliers where required, ensuring compliance with legislation and standards, including but not limited to retail, ethical and environmentalTo apply for this Buyer role, your soft skills, expertise, and experience should include:Good analytical and reporting skillsAbility to recognise future and market trendsKnowledge of ingredient raw materials and commodity markets.Experience purchasing products within food manufacturing. Contract management and SRM experienceYou'll receive an excellent salary of £32,000 to £38,000 p/a and benefits package for your knowledge, expertise and flexibility.To apply for this inclusive and collaborative full-time Buyer job, please get in touch with Jonathan Lee Recruitment today.
