Job Title: Buying Assistant - Au Vodka

Location: Swansea, United Kingdom

Salary Range: £24,000 - £28,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience)

Bonus : All Win Together Loose Together Bonus: (Paid quarterly and Annually: If a company is hitting Gross and Revenue Targets for the Quarters and Annually)

Hours: Monday- Friday 09:00-18:00 ( Early Finish Fridays, leave at 4, but get paid until 6 )

Au Vodka is the number 1 super premium vodka brand and fastest growing company in the U.K. We seek an experienced Buying Assistant to join our dynamic team in the UK. This role is critical in driving our online sales growth and brand presence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic New Product Development: Manage and refine the new product development process to ensure the timely and successful introduction of high-quality products.
• International Supplier Relations: Engage in effective liaison and negotiations with our supply partners in China, maintaining robust relationships and securing advantageous terms.
• Performance Reporting: Provide comprehensive reports on product performance, offering valuable insights to aid informed decision-making across departments.
• Efficient Order Processing and Project Management: Oversee order processing and manage various procurement-related projects with precision and attention to detail.
• Logistics Coordination: Collaborate closely with shipping partners to meticulously track and maintain stock delivery schedules, ensuring seamless operations.
• Forecasting Expertise: Utilise forecasting techniques to optimise inventory levels, balancing demand and supply to prevent overstocking or shortages.
• Market Analysis and Sample Management: Conduct thorough trend and competitor research to stay ahead, while efficiently managing sample approvals and organisation for promotional activities.
• Collaborative Marketing Support: Work closely with the marketing and E-commerce teams to coordinate packaging briefs and copy requirements.

Requirements:

• Industry Experience: Previous experience in a purchasing or buying role within the spirits or related industry is highly desirable.
• Negotiation Proficiency: Demonstrated ability in negotiating with international suppliers, particularly in China.
• Organisational Prowess: Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical Acumen: Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and deriving actionable insights to support decision-making.
• Industry Awareness: Familiarity with industry trends, market dynamics, and competitors' landscape is advantageous.
• Effective Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for seamless cross-departmental collaboration.
