Rate Of Pay: £65,000 per annumShift Patterns: 37.

5 hours over 5 days per week , permanent contractInformation about the role:As a clinical psychologist at Sturdee Community Hospital you will provide a psychology service for adults with Personality Disorders, ASD and LD, working autonomously within professional guidelines and service policies, providing psychological therapies to patients, advice and consultation to colleagues.

You will liaise with managers and professionals across the service and externals.

You will be responsible for providing clinical and professional supervision to psychology assistants, trainee clinical psychologists and other graduate psychologists as appropriate, as well facilitate training within Psychology competency to other professionals’ groups to reduce risk and improve output.

Main duties of the role:- * To work with a broad range of health and social care professionals and agencies within multi-disciplinary teams and specialised clinical settings.

* To undertake structured interviews, psychological assessments and observations of individuals and groups.

* To support the Assistant Psychologists with semi structured interviews, assign tasks and supervise.

* To develop Positive Behavioural support Plans and Behavioural analysis.

* To assist in the development of psychological formulations of clinical problems and the development and delivery of care plans, which include psychological treatment plans.

* To determine appropriate psychological intervention, considering a range of potentially conflicting clinical information and dynamics.

* To implement/develop CBT/DBT and implement them as appropriate as 1:1 and groups.

* To represent the Psychology Department in multidisciplinary meetings and produce the required reports.

* To provide clinically based supervision to guidance to other professional groups.

* To keep appropriate clinical records of work * To follow a person-focused and evidence-based approach.

* To work in accordance with national NHS and placement providers’ policies and regulations, as well as those of relevant professional and regulatory bodies.

* To work in a highly emotive atmosphere, frequently encountering highly distressing problems and circumstances, and maintain a high degree of professionalism at all times.

* To work in situations where there is a possible exposure to aggression.

* To Implement actions assigned by the senior psychologist or local SMT/HD.

Information about the ServiceSturdee Community Hospital offers a flexible environment designed to support each patient’s progress along their rehab pathway.

Sturdee Hospital is a 31 bedded hospital in Leicester, providing a holistic service for women between 18-65 with complex mental health needs that include: personality disorder; serious and enduring mental illness; co-morbidity; and a history of complex trauma.

Necessary Experience or Qualifications to work as Psychologist * Full registration with HCPC as Clinical or Forensic Psychologist (Counselling registrations can be considered as long as candidates have Forensic inpatient experience with PD patients) * Preference for BPS registration as well.

* Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team and in a forensic mental health inpatient setting * Experience working with Personality Disorders and Neuro diverse clients.

* Experience in being autonomous, leading the service and facilitations training to staff * CBT or DBT experience * Ability to manage in a fast patience service with request to advise other professionals and implement action plans.

* A capacity to replace old knowledge with new, to develop new skills and adopt new attitudes.

* Calmness with challenging patients, carers, colleagues and team members * Ability to work as part of a team and to develop leadership skills within a multidisciplinary team.

* The ability to work under pressure and make well-judged decisions.

* Leadership, management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
