REF: (phone number removed)Role: CNC OperatorLocation: Calmore, SouthamptonSalary: From £30,000 - £40,000 pa (depending on experience)Permanent Hours: 8.00am-5.30pm - Mon-FriRole Description:Parkside Recruitment are looking for an experienced CNC Operator to join a small yet diverse team in the stone industry.  As a CNC Operator, you'll play a pivotal role in operating CNC equipment to produce top-notch stonework.Company Overview:Our client are based in Hampshire, they specialise in sourcing, designing, manufacturing, and fitting lightweight stone products.Key Responsibilities:• Operate 5-axis Stone CNC machining centres & 3-axis Waterjet CNC machining centres.• Interpret and program drawings for CNC operations• Create CNC drawings• Perform machine and plant maintenance• Manage tool stocking and conduct tool checks• Conduct daily pre-operation checks on specific machines• Ensure quality control and inspect manufactured products• Apply Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles for efficient production• Solve problems effectively to maintain workflow• Collaborate with team members for operational efficiency• Maintain general shop floor housekeeping and assist with maintenance tasks• Adhere to health & safety policies and procedures diligentlyCandidate Requirements:• Background in engineering education• Experience in a manufacturing environment• Proficiency in CAD and ability to think in 3D preferred• Understanding of construction/masonry drawings• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office packages• Familiarity with CNC operation• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities• Effective time management and organizational skills with keen attention to detail• Proactive and adaptable approach with the ability to self-manage• Demonstrated sense of ownership and pride in performance• Willingness to learn and positive attitude towards problem-solving.Benefits:• Competitive salary commensurate with skills and experience• 20 Days + Bank Holidays• Free on-site parking• Flexible working arrangements• Company pension schemeParkside Recruitment Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
