CNC Setter/Operator in UK

They are currently on the market seeking a CNC Setter to programme and operate CNC milling and turning machines, both sliding and fixed heads.

About the roleCreate CNC programs utilising both CAD/CAM software and manual programming techniques to achieve efficient and effective manufacture of machined parts on 3, 4 and 5 axis milling machines, including ‘in-machine’ inspection using Renishaw probing systemsInvestigate and establish appropriate tooling and work-holding solutionsCreate documentation and tool-kits as required to ensure future production runs can be carried out effectively by colleaguesTo input daily setting and production information into the production scheduling system and update the visual management systems, including the accurate recording of setting pieces and production scrap issuesAbout youStrong background in Sliding Head CNC machining or Fixed Head CNCKnowledge and experience in the design and creation of 3D modelsStrong understanding of CNC programs and structuresAbility to read program code and identify programming errorsAbility to prioritise personal workload to ensure efficiency in completing tasksIf you know someone suitable for this role, share the word and through our referral scheme receive up to £250!
