Job DescriptionThis role involves being a Design Engineer on one or more Workstreams in the Plant Cyber Integration & Obsolescence Project portfolio. Although the individual projects within the portfolio are being delivered to the SL PES standards, it should be noted that the systems themselves are formed from COTS IT equipment, and so a good understanding of this technology will also be required for the role(s).
The individual will be responsible for supporting the Lead Engineer(s) in all aspects of delivery across numerous projects from concept to handover. They will functionally report to a Lead Engineer for the projects (this could be different people from project to project).
The role will require the individual to deliver the project deliverables in line with SL tailored processes.
This role will require stakeholder engagement with security case managers, system engineers, OTG, commissioning staff etc throughout the lifecycle but especially during the stakeholder requirements definition process and requirements analysis process.
As a key role within the Integrated Project Team (IPT) the individual will work closely with other disciplines, including Project Management, Quality, Cost Controls, Team Members in other Workstreams and Projects, Systems Engineers, Capability (especially The Security in Design CoE) and OTG.
The role also covers engagement with the supply chain, delivery of the systems including checking and reviewing deliverables from internal and external sources, verification and validation, quality management.
The individual will also contribute to reporting requirements including ensuring any technical, safety and engineering risks are identified and escalated to the Lead Engineer(s).

Due to the nature of work to be undertaken applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.
Will require to be on site majority of time at Hinton House or Sellafield Site
