The RSC is seeking a new Development Director to lead significant growth in philanthropic and supporter income. The 30 strong team are in the second year of an ambitious plan to significantly grow revenue income by 2026. The Development Director, alongside Senior Leadership Team colleagues, will play a vital role in developing a long term sustainable financial model for the Company. Reporting to the Executive Director this position also has important working relationships with the Co-Artistic Directors, the Chair of the Board, and the Development Advisory Council. Leading our strategy to enhance support regionally, nationally and internationally you will also oversee the relationship with the independent US charity RSC America and maximise opportunities provided by the RSC's globally recognised brand.

You will have a proven track record of leadership in philanthropy, experience of securing seven figure donations, combined with a long-term commitment to fundraising in arts and culture, higher education or the charitable sector. You will combine ambitious fundraising with flawless stewardship, recruiting and renewing a wide range of donors, sponsors, and partners. You will need experience of membership and/ or patron schemes, sponsorship and partnerships and a track record of success in major gifts, trust and foundation and public funding is desirable.
