Diagnostics Engineer in Brentwood

Consilium Recruit are proudly supporting a leading business within hydrogen and dual fuel applications for a number of sectors including energy storage, marine propulsion, and other propulsion systems.

They are seeking a Diagnostics and Data Analysis Engineer on a permanent basis, with the role being based in Essex.

Commutable from:  Brentwood, Southend-on-Sea, Chelmsford, London  Salary:  Negotiable based on experience + Excellent Benefits including Pension, Healthcare and Bonus   The RoleThe Diagnostics and Data Analysis Engineer will own and organise data sets relating to dual fuel engine performance and own the data monitoring for the fleet. 

You will support the data analysis for dual fuel engine performance and system data to enhance hydrogen system performance and reliability.

The Diagnostics and Data Analysis Engineer will support the design and development of diagnostic methodologies.

Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise system performance and efficiency based on data-driven insights.

The Data and Diagnostics Engineer will resolve technical issues within the data sets by identifying root cause issues and collaborating with the team to identify solutions.

The PersonThe successful candidate will possess a minimum qualification of bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in engineering, data science or a related field.

You must have previous experience within an engineering focused sphere of work and or research experience.

You will have experience in data analysis, diagnostics and be adept at using data analysis tools such as Python and other relevant languages used in a data analysis.

Strong experience in relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL and SQL for data retrieval and manipulation is highly desired for the role.

Familiarity with communication protocols such as CAN, Ethernet and any RTOS experience is highly welcomed for the role.
