We have a great opportunity to join the HR family at Travis Perkins plc as a Employee Relations Advisor, adding value to our colleagues and managers by supporting them with employee relations advice and support. 

Location: this is a Hybrid working role 2 days home based and 3 days working from our Head Office in Northampton (working from home will commence after induction training is completed)

What youll do

Drawing on your personal drive and ambition to achieve set standards and deadlines as a team and individually, you will be providing effective, efficient, responsive and commercial employee relations advice with a continuous improvement mindset.

This role will enable you to take ownership of dispute resolution and long term sickness within a fast paced environment. Youll be utilising your strong communication skills via telephone to multisite internal stakeholders, advising on: employment legislation, policy and best practise. You will produce case plans for formal hearings and attend complex cases when required. This is a great opportunity to broaden your employee relations knowledge and to join a complex, multi site market leading business.

Is this you?

To be considered for this role you will need experience within a HR role, have an updated knowledge of employment legislation and you ideally will have a CIPD or equivalent qualification. You need to have excellent communications skills, be confident, and a strong influencer with the ability to respectfully challenge or be challenged at all levels. Due to the nature of the role you will need to demonstrate your ability to multitask, work well under pressure within a fast paced environment and handle complex grievance, appeal and long term sickness cases remotely. 

If you are a strong communicator with experience in handling diverse employee relations queries and can collate information and advise accordingly, we want to hear from you!
