Event Sponsorship Manager in Birmingham

Birmingham or Berlin, with the option for hybrid working at home-office

We are looking to strengthen our sponsorship team by recruiting an experienced Event Sponsorship Manager with a proven track record. Working across our portfolio of international SAP events, this individual will take on sales and account management responsibility for a diverse range of sponsors across multiple event and content formats. Key responsibilities include:  

• Develop high quality, commercially successful event sponsorship models   
• Acquire sponsors across our event portfolio – pitching, negotiating, and closing deals – meeting and exceeding commercial targets
• Develop bespoke packages and work on multi-channel offerings that exploit other content formats  
• Build long term and lasting relationships with our sponsors  
• Account management for our sponsors, ensuring their needs are met from the moment they sign, right through to the day of our event    
• Working closely with our event partner (SAP) to identify and recruit sponsors from its ecosystem  
• Working closely with our Event Production team to ensure sponsor content is well positioned on our programmes and content offerings   
• Working closely with our Event Logistics team to ensure sponsors are taken care of pre and post event

• A proven track record of success in a competitive sales environment 
• Experience in writing sales/sponsorship proposals
• An all-round great communicator and negotiator
• Able to develop creative, bespoke sponsorship packages
• 3-5 years’ relevant work experience in B2B sales, preferably events (but not essential)
• Ability to quickly problem-solve complex issues and develop practical solutions
• Attention to detail and dependable
• Communicative and collegiate team player
• Excellent MS-Office skills
• Willingness and flexibility to travel as and when required
• Second language (German) is preferable (but not essential)
