Benefits: Salary £60-70,000pa DOE Pension Private health care 25 days holiday +bank holiday Discounts Hours of work 8.30am-5pm - working on site Monday to FridayAbout the Job: As the Finance Controller you will play a pivotal role in overseeing day-to-day financial operations across multiple companies within the group. Responsibilities include preparing monthly financial reports, supporting year-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and policies.Preparation of monthly financial reports and support for year-end close processes. Assisting in compliance audits and monitoring internal controls. Producing monthly management accounts and departmental P&L statements. Participating in financial standards setting and forecasting processes. Collaborating with other teams, sharing knowledge and best practices. Overseeing control account reconciliations and exchange rate conversions. Managing internal asset audits and ensuring accurate asset and facility management. Handling payroll processing and filing of PAYE and end-of-year returns. Filing CAT returns to HMRC and annual returns to Companies House. Ensuring accuracy and currency of insurance policies and handling insurance claims. Attending training courses and meetings as required. Managing escalated queries from customers and suppliers. Overseeing preparation of quarterly VAT returns.About you: Fully qualified accountant (CIMA / ACA / ACCA). Minimum of 3 years post-qualified experience as a Financial Controller or Finance Manager. High level of accuracy and strong analytical skills. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and tax regulations. Strong time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Team player with a hands-on and flexible approach. Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
