Responsibilities

• Build new features, guiding them from concept to release.
• Take ownership of development projects, participate in project planning, set realistic timelines, and meet project milestones and deadlines.
• Understand the business requirements for the features you work on.
• Ensuring optimal application development, performance and user experience.
• Monitoring, debugging, and fixing issues in deployed applications.
• Collaborate with the development team to create efficient and scalable application architecture, emphasising reusability and maintainability.
• Help build our engineering organisation.

Qualifications



• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience at tech and product-driven companies
• Strong programming skills with the ability to work across the full stack
• Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript/React is required, with expertise in both being highly advantageous.
• Understanding of cloud services and management (preferably with Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with implementing scalable, high-availability systems in a cloud environment.
• Experience with improving the testing and automation processes
• Skilled in crafting high-quality, scalable RESTful API services with a focus on maintainability and best practices, particularly for backend-oriented candidates.
• Demonstrated experience with UI/UX and product design, particularly for front-end-oriented candidates.
• Experience as an early engineer in a product-led startup is a bonus.
• Experience with any of FastAPI, Docker, MaterialUI, or Redux is a bonus.
