Eames Consulting are excited to be working alongside a prestigious asset management firm based in London.

They are seeking an experienced Head of Engineering to lead their technology initiatives and drive innovation.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and managing high-performing engineering teams, as well as a deep understanding of financial markets and investment management processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the engineering team, aligning technology initiatives with business objectives and driving innovation to enhance our competitive advantage.
• Build and mentor a team of talented software engineers, data scientists, and technology professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
• Lead the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge technology solutions to support asset management functions, including portfolio management, risk analysis, trading, and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including investment professionals, risk management, operations, and client services, to define technology requirements and deliver solutions that meet the needs of our clients and business stakeholders.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments in asset management and financial services, leveraging insights to inform technology strategy and drive business growth.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and security standards, implementing robust controls and processes to safeguard sensitive information and mitigate risks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience (10 years) in technology leadership roles within the asset management or financial services industry, with a deep understanding of investment management processes and financial products.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals and drive results.
• Expertise in software development methodologies, tools, and technologies, including but not limited to Python, R, SQL, cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure), and big data technologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Experience with regulatory compliance (e.g., SEC, FINRA, GDPR) and security best practices in the financial services industry.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex technology projects on time and within budget.
