Keltbray Energy are looking for a Health and Safety Manager to work for them in the South West of England to support in delivering the SSE Distribution Framework.

We are looking for someone who has similar experience of working within the Energy Sector and has the relevant H&S Management experience.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Where unsafe working is identified, stop the works, agree and document suitable and safe

solution and re-brief.

  • Responsible for managing and mentoring of HSQE Advisors
  • Responsible for ensuring HSQE specific KPI information is produced
  • Active attendance and participation in internal / external meetings / forums / working groups

to promote the business activities

  • Assisting the operational team with reviewing of CDM documentation
  • Assurance of process and working methods; monitor effectiveness of the business

management system

  • Take an active role in developing, maintaining and promoting a positive HSQE culture
  • Ensuring compliance with standards and client requirements
  • Undertaking task analysis of risk assessment and method statements / Task briefings
  • Provide support and advice for staff to aid and promote sustainable practices
  • Ensure all requirements and findings are closed within the required timescales
  • For ensuring any lessons are shared with the wider team and managing the team resource in

the most cost effective and economical manner.

  • Ensuring any problems or positives are raised to a higher level as necessary.
  • Ensuring the required level and quality of HSE advice required is provided.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Understanding of working methods
  • Excellent listening behaviours
  • Positive attitude
  • Ability to work overtime when required.
  • Ability to use IT systems including Microsoft 365, and HSQE specific systems.
  • NEBOSH Construction Level 3 – Level 6 (or equivalent)
