Job Title: Health & Safety ManagerLocation: St.Albans City Hospital, Waverley Road, St.Albans, AL3 5PNShift Pattern: Monday- Friday, 37.5 hours a week.Pay: £26.06 (£50,817 per year), plus enhanced pay for weekends and bank holidaysTrust Location: West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS TrustWe have temporary 6-month placement opportunity available for Health & Safety Manager to work within West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust, St.Albans City Hospital, Waverley Road, St.Albans, AL3 5PN.What you’ll be responsible for· Day to day operational implementation of the Health and Safety Management Policy· Set, review, monitor and report on the Trust’s key health and safety strategic objectives/direction and, set targets that evidence improvement, both on a strategic and operational level· Set-up, schedule, manage and report on a health and safety/non-clinical risk auditing and Hospital wide monitoring program.· Provide expert advice to the Trust, including all departments on H&S legislation, and best practice as requested.· Liaise with external enforcing authorities, i.e., the Health & Safety Executive (HSE)· Liaise with Trust managers of all levels and with the Trust Fire Authorising Engineer.Experience:· Educated to Master’s Degree or equivalent specialist knowledge and experience, plus additional specialist knowledge acquired through post-graduate level courses & experience to master’s equivalent level.· In depth managerial, financial and strategic knowledge demonstrated through leadership or management qualification e.g., ILM qualification or equivalent.· Experience of working in a complex clinical environment in a similar role.· Experience of working with external bodies such as Fire and Rescue Services.· Experience of managing a team and managing a budget.You’ll learn or benefit from the following whilst working at the Trust as a Catering Assistant. * flexible shifts * Support and training provided. * Being part of a fantastic catering teamAs a member of NHS Professionals, you have fantastic benefits:· Competitive pay rates- work this week, get paid next week· Essential support when you need it- 24/7 365 days- call us anytime· Multi locational- work across neighbouring Trusts· Manage your shifts and timesheets on the go- access your “My Bank” shift portal anywhere, anytime online or through your smartphone· Varied working options to suit your lifestyle- access to the Bank gives you options of ad hoc shifts or longer-term placements· Training and development opportunities- Keep up with the essentials and more· Build holiday allowance for every shift you work- your work life balance is important to us· Stakeholder pension scheme available- a flexible future for you and yoursWho are NHS Professionals?We specialise in putting people in place to care.
