Summary of Role:

As an HR Generalist, you will have a broad knowledge of human resources functions, from hiring to onboarding and from employee compensation to evaluation.

The HR Generalist role will be far from one-dimensional. You’ll undertake a wide range of HR tasks, with the main goal of ensuring the HR department’s operations run smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the company as a whole. This role will support UK and European sites.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Dealing with various HR queries throughout the business
  • Monitoring, reviewing, and updating all HR policies and processes and ensuring these are in line with current legislation
  • Informing employees of their rights and entitlement and keeping them up to date on any changes made
  • Support the recruitment process by attending interviews for potential candidates.
  • Managing staff relationships, responding to any queries or problems that they have and managing their expectations
  • Handling HR matters reliably and in accordance with legal requirements
  • Dealing with various capability investigations, including grievance and disciplinary
  • Partnering with line managers to review employee relations, performance management, resourcing, and staff management
  • Ensure the payroll file documents are ready with the required signatures to meet payroll deadlines
  • Undertake projects which will support the effectiveness of HR

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Essential

  • In-depth knowledge of current Employment Law
  • Efficient HR administration and people management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Superb computer literacy with capability in email, MS Office, and related HR software.
  • Ability to prioritise and organise workloads in a busy environment
  • Works comfortably under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility and ability to work off own initiative

Desirable

  • CIPD Qualified
  • Experience in an administration environment
  • Experience using WorkDay system

Travel Requirements:

  • The role is based at our Telford Site on a full-time basis
  • Occasional travel to the Newtown office when required
