The HR Operations Manager is responsible for providing high-quality advice, professional and responsive operational HR support to the business by taking ownership of the delivery of HR support to all Chiltern colleagues including JML process/admin, benefits management, pay policies, systems management, introduction of new HRIS and data reporting.
The role will be responsible for providing clear management to operational HR staff and general HR administrative resource. The role will require a strategic mindset, exceptional organisational skills, outstanding communication and a strong commitment to promoting a positive employee experience at Chiltern.
Key Accountabilities:
Personal Specification:
Education :
● Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience
● Associate membership of CIPD (or equivalent).
Experience:
● Proven experience (4+ years) in HR operations management, with a strong understanding of HR best practices and compliance
Skills and Competencies :
● Proficiency in HRIS and payroll software (iTrent is desirable) and O365 products
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret HR data and metrics
● Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
● Detail-oriented, highly organised, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
● Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
● Cross-cover at meetings for HRBP as appropriate
● Willing to support and engage with colleagues through ‘frontline days’
