W Talent Manufacturing are supporting a growing manufacturing company based in Worksop who are now looking to recruit a Mechanical Biased, Lead Maintenance Engineer.

My client is dedicated to delivering quality products to its UK based customers and has recently gone through a small expansion plan at the Worksop manufacturing site.

As the new Lead Maintenance Engineer, you will be tasked in improving machinery performance with a view of becoming more proactive via the PPM system.

Position Overview:I am looking to speak with Mechanical Biased, Maintenance Engineers who are looking to take that next step into management but remaining a hands-on engineer.

You will be responsible for the upkeep of all manufacturing equipment and site services across the manufacturing site.

You will be a Mechanical biased engineer, ideally with some Electrical understanding, ensuring that the facilities, layout, and machinery used to produce products, run to their maximum efficiency and output, which includes total preventative maintenance, managing breakdowns and some people management.

Key Responsibilities * Responsible for planned scheduling and overseeing the adherence and timely completion of work carried out.

* Supporting seasonal shift patterns ranging from single day shifts to days and after’s shifts.

* Increase the site operational effectiveness, improve on project delivery, mean time between failure and downtime reduction.

* Manage and implement improvement plans, driving Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to.

* Implement and manage continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principals by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes.

* Assist in new mechanical installations including commissioning of equipment related to onsite projects while carrying out planned maintenance routines.

* Carry out safety inspections of equipment including gas, steam and pipework to comply with the company health and safety policy.

* Ensure compliance with company and legislative health and safety policies, procedures, and standards always.

* Provide support and advice to other engineers and production managers where appropriate.

Key Requirements:To apply for the Mechanical Biased, Lead Maintenance Engineer position located in Worksop you will need to have some form of Mechanical Qualification and Manufacturing, Print, Packaging or FMCG background experience.

What’s on Offer:£40,000 to £55,000 plus benefits including the chance to progress into a management position
