Blue Water Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Lead Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to work on a large Gas Turbine Power Plant in South Wales.This project is due to start May 2024 for approximately 5 months.Scope of works * Hands-on commissioning of process / mechanical components and systems such as, fuel supply system, firefighting and fire protection systems, cooling water, demin water systems and HVAC. * Carrying out and managing piping networks cleaning using various methods such as pigging, air blowing, flushing, etc. * Carrying out testing on mechanical systems and equipment, as well as system optimization and troubleshooting and filling-in the respective commissioning documentation and protocols. * Understands and executes the equipment clearance (LOTO) procedure, as well as Job Safety Analysis / Work Authorisation / Confined Space / Hot Work Permits. * Visual inspection of equipment/systems for correct and complete erection, adequate cleanliness, and safe access in consideration of related engineering documents, such as P&IDs, wiring diagrams, system descriptions etc. * Manage the documentation submission for project close-out. * Provide theoretical and practical training to customer personnel.Requirements * At least 7 years working experience in power stations Mechanical and Process Commissioning activities with demonstrable experience in a leading role in projects of similar relevance. * BSC Degree, or BEng / HND in Mechanical / Process engineering. * Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. * Excellent knowledge of MS Office.If you are interested in this position, or would like to see the full job description, please contact Bradley Salt
