Position: LEARNING CONSULTANT

JOB PURPOSE

You will partner with the business to define the learning needs, scope the content, delivery method and impact metrics to measure the best outcome for the business. You will work with a network of internal and external partners to build the learning interventions and deliver them at scale in the business. These interventions could be related to different areas of expertise and delivered in different ways (eg social learning, virtual, online, face-to-face). You will work to maintain the skills infrastructure to support self-service learning and skills insights for the function.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE?

  • Partner withthe business todefine the learning needs workingclosely with yourtarget audience, key stakeholders,subject matter experts,and HRBPs.
  • From thelearning needs, identifythe business objectives,the learning objectives,the different contentblocks, delivery methods,criteria for success andKPIs for yourlearning programme.
  • Define andmap out thelearning journey, maximisinglearner experience.
  • Use learning infrastructure, standards and operations to deliver.
  • Engage, briefand partner withthe right internaland external experts andvendors to developand deliver the learningintervention.
  • Source andcurate internal orexternal content, qualitychecking and integratinginto your learningprogramme as appropriate.Build new contentwhen required.
  • Manage yourprogramme budget andtiming. Pilot your learning intervention, learn from it, iterate.
  • Roll out at scale, at speed, at reach.
  • Measure and assess return on learning and business impact.
  • Facilitate /Deliver some of the trainingsessions
  • Work closelywith NIIT (ourlearning services provider) todrive efficiencies.
  • Update Functional role plans with the latest skills required and ensure they are maintained effectively.
  • Keep upto speed withlatest technology anddevelopment in thearea of learningboth internally and externally toleverage good practicesand nurture your learningexpertise.
  • Keep upto speed withwhat is happeningin the externalworld to beable to proactively addressarising needs andbetter support theorganisation and peopleyou serve.
  • Drive alearning mind-set ineverything you do and keep thebusiness and learnerimpact top ofmind.
  • Walk thetalk: learn everyday and helpothers to learn, shareyour knowledge andexperience, teach others, useand leverage thetools we have.

USEFUL EXPERIENCE

  • Relevant experience in learning: learning needs analysis, design and development
  • Worked or partnered R&D in current or previous role
  • Experience in getting things done in an Agile way (setting priorities based on impact, working in an iterative manner to get feedback from end users and learn from it).
  • Experience of working with senior stakeholders to contract on Learning deliverables.
