Quay Personnel are actively recruiting for a Machine Shop Manager for our client based in the Liverpool area.

Working hours: 08.

00 to 16:30 Monday to Friday.

Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum, dependent upon experience.

Experience we're looking for...

* Have an engineering background and be able to demonstrate a high level of expertise in machining processes, specifically manual, turning, manual milling.

* Prior experience managing a production/machine shop team.

* Have a broad knowledge of manufacturing processes including repair of rotating equipment and the repair machining involved.

* Have excellent computer skills.

* Have very good communication skills when liaising with both colleagues and customers.

* Perform work in accordance with the company’s health and safety procedures.

* Be highly motivated and offer a keen eye for detail and value precision.

Your daily duties will include...

* Managing the team in the machine shop and utilising a computerised management system and their own expertise to ensure the smooth progression of items through the workshop.

* Liaising with other departments and keen planning will be required to meet customer requirements.

* There will be continual investment and expansion to be overseen within the department as we look to compliment the significant recent investment that has already created an impressive and advanced working environment.

* Take responsibility for managing their workload and working the hours necessary to fulfil their duties.
