This full-time Manufacturing Engineer role offers a salary of £45,000 to £50,000 per annam and many excellent benefits.As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will support manufacturing processes to improve product quality and ease of manufacture. The company is a trusted partner to military customers around the world and has a skilled and experienced workforce dedicated to achieving excellence in all areas of the business, from Engineering to Project Management and Business Support to Operations. This critical role is to develop/implement improvements to manufacturing processes and to drive continuous improvement, consistency of product quality and delivery.During your first few weeks in this Manufacturing Engineer role, you can expect to:Create, manage, and deliver improvement action plansImplement a customer-focused, operational improvement culture, delivering world-class customer service levelsExplore the business case for process automation where applicable; for repeatability, efficiency and quality improvementsDevelop processes to improve dimensional stability from effective jigging / fixture / alignmentContinuously drive efficiency improvements that reduce the build hours/productLead, develop and implement quality manufacturing improvement programmes across area of responsibilityCoordinate cross-functional team activities to optimise the cost performance of the plant through capital investment programmes, optimising operating standards and minimising waste through the development of a continuous improvement cultureSupport and lead structured problem-solving and process improvement activitiesTo apply for this Manufacturing Engineer position, your soft skills, expertise, and experience should include:Ideally holding an HND or an Advanced/Higher Apprenticeship in Manufacturing or Mechanical EngineeringEducated to Bachelor level or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering DisciplinePlanning experience using SAP and Ideally Trained in SAPStructuring BOMs from Drawing to ManufactureA proven successful track record of manufacturing excellence and experience in a similar role within an industrial or technical environmentIt would be advantageous to have planning experience with SAP or to be trained in SAPIf you're looking to impact and create change positively, you'll be rewarded with a salary of £45,000 to £50,000 and an excellent benefits package for your inclusive and committed approach.We'd love you to apply for this full-time Manufacturing Engineer job in Stockport, and we're waiting to hear from you.
