What Are We Looking For?

RSE is currently seeking Mechanical Fitters to join our Basingstoke facility. You will be joining a team that is experienced, working on Southern Water and Thames Water projects across the Southern Region of England. You’ll ideally be based in Basingstoke, or the surrounding areas to service the client Your role will involve all aspects of maintenance tasks.

Some of Your Key Duties Include:

  • Dismantle and re-assemble mechanical assemblies.
  • Inspect equipment and identify faulty components.
  • Ensure quality, environmental and health and safety procedures are adhered to.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance work on plant and equipment.
  • Assist other disciplines when required.
  • Ensure safe use of hand tools, machinery, and other equipment.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained to a high and safe standard.

What Do You Need?

  • Possess a mechanical understanding and knowledge of Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Hydrostatic systems.
  • The ability to understand and use schematics and maintenance drawings to analyse, assess, and find faults within these systems.
  • To be organised and have the ability to plan a sequence of events, which are required to remove and reinstall components within a working system.
  • Capable of self-checking work and to possess high personal standards with respect to Environment, Quality and Health & Safety.
