Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in Knutsford

W Talent Manufacturing are supporting a leading manufacturing company based in Cheshire who are now looking to recruit a Mechanical Biased, Maintenance Engineer.

This Manufacturer has a focus on innovation and driving continuous improvement and is now seeking a new Maintenance Engineer to help improve on site services including Gas, Steam, Mechanical breakdowns and new installations.

Position Overview:We are looking for a Mechanical Biased, Maintenance Engineer who will be responsible for the upkeep of all manufacturing equipment and site services across the manufacturing site.

You will be a Mechanical biased engineer, with the chance to develop and train within Electrical with the aim of becoming a multi-skilled engineer.

This position will be working Monday to Friday, days based at the manufacturing site in Cheshire, with flexible working hours.

Key Responsibilities: * You will assist in new mechanical installations including commissioning of equipment related to onsite projects while carrying out planned maintenance routines.

* To carry out safety inspections of equipment including gas, steam and pipework to comply with the company health and safety policy.

* To ensure compliance with company and legislative health and safety policies, procedures, and standards always.

* To complete engineering breakdown reports and practice Good Manufacturing Practice with factory areas.

* Provide support and advice to engineers and department managers where appropriate.

* To participate in-house and external training courses as deemed relevant by the Company.

* Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance routines and rectify defects where appropriate during planned maintenance or on immediate request.

Key Requirements:To apply for the Days Based, Mechanical Biased, Maintenance Engineer position located in Cheshire you will need to have some form of mechanical qualification and manufacturing, packaging or FMCG experience.

What’s on Offer:£36,000 to £40,500 plus benefits including a top up holiday package.
