Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in Romford

Hobson Prior is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a permanent role based in Romford, East London. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out mechanical maintenance on a range of hospital utilities. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in engineering and a passion for maintaining and improving systems.

Key Responsibilities

• For this role you will, Carry out mechanical maintenance through both Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a range of hospital utilities.
• Perform plumbing duties as required.
• Liaise with appointed contractors for maintenance activities and capital projects.
• Use the Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) system to record completed maintenance tasks.
• Identify risks and hazards in the workplace and implement control measures to reduce these.
• Collaborate with other trades across the site to ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently.
• Participate in an on-call rota that covers weekends.

Requirements

• NVQ/City & Guilds in an engineering discipline.
• Proficiency in carrying out mechanical maintenance on utilities across Air Handling Units (AHU)/Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), water utilities, gas, etc.
• Plumbing experience.
• Ideally, experience as an Authorised Person.
