THE ROLE

The Mechanical Technician forms a key part of the on-site Maintenance team tasked with helping to ensure plant availability through a combination of reactive and preventative maintenance works across a range of equipment and machinery.

The position reports into the site based Maintenance Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Fault finding and maintaining of plant mechanical equipment
• Working in line with maintenance techniques and best practices
• Undertaking / assisting in plant developments & projects
• Working in accordance with the Evero Safety Rules, actively managing the subcontractors with the setting to work process and supervising contractors
• Assist in outage planning, scheduling and coordination
• Working with the company CMMS (Maximo) to assure accurate maintenance records, and comprehensive asset data information

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCES

We are open to considering applicants from a range of different industry backgrounds, it's not essential to have prior experience in the Waste-to-Energy field.

We would however expect suitable applicants to have prior experiences of at least some of the following;

• A recognised engineering qualification at ONC/City & Guilds/NVQ level 3 Mechanical qualifications (or equivalent experience)
• Previous experience in an Energy from Waste facility, or power generation, or equivalent
• Able to demonstrate experience in maintenance and repair of a wide and varied range of mechanical systems, including rotating equipment
• Knowledge and practical experience of large Conveyors, Chain Drives, Hydraulics, Shredders, Overhead Cranes and Pneumatics
• Demonstrable experience working with Permit-to-Work systems
