We are looking for Neighbourhood Housing Officers for a temp to perm position in North and South West London, to start in immediately.Hours: 36 hours per weekRate: £20.58-£20.96/hContract: Hybrid role- working in the office and site visits (working outside contracted hours may be required)Successful candidate will be working closely with residents on various council estates.The main purpose of the role: * To deliver an integrated generic housing support to tenants and leasehold customers and to work closely with other teams, councillors and Tenants & Residents Associations to achieve sustainable tenancies in sustainable communities. * To provide a proactive and customer focused housing management service across a designated area and to ensure that the Council fulfils its legal and contractual obligations to tenants and leaseholders. * To act as a regular and visible presence on estates, taking action to make sure estates are safe and well maintained and provide advice, information and reports on any housing management matter. * To support the Neighbourhood Housing Team deliver the Vulnerable Residents Offer. * To work proactively with neighbourhoods to get a good understanding of residents and properties as well as working closely with other agencies. * To attend external meetings, sometimes after working hoursExperience / Requirements: * Ability to communicate with residents in professional manner, understand their demands and needs * Ability to have a flexible approach to each of the residents and encourage them to find their own solution * Ability to develop skills, knowledge and expertise to meet resident demands in the neighbourhood, for example: * Money, Debt and budgeting; * Resolving disputes; * Tenancy law; * Housing Options. * Employment and skills; * Health and support;The closing date for this position is 26/01/2024, with the expectation of a candidate starting immediately.If you are interested and would like to apply for the role, please send your CV and contact details to Magdalena Uzarowska in response to this ad.
