Nursery Teaching Assistant in Sheffield

Job Title: Nursery Teaching Assistant Location: Sheffield, Primary School Position Type: Full-time (5 days a week) Start Date: After the Half-Term Break, June 2024.

About: Tradewind Recruitment are working with a vibrant and welcoming primary school in Sheffield, that is dedicated to nurturing young minds and fostering a love for learning in a supportive and inclusive environment.

The school is currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work in a Nursery class for 5 days a week, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities: Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.

Assist with the preparation of classroom materials and resources.

Provide one-on-one and small group support to children.

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Help with the assessment and recording of pupil progress.

Supervise children during break times and activities.

Encourage positive behaviour and support the social and emotional development of pupils.

Requirements: Experience working with young children, preferably in a Nursery class setting.

A genuine passion for early childhood education.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

A patient, caring, and proactive approach.

Relevant qualifications or certifications in childcare or education (desirable but not essential).
