Customer Product Manager / Agile Development Manager – Birmingham - £50,000 to £60,000 + Car Allowance and Bonus

Langham Recruitment is pleased to be working with a much-respected plc / household name who are looking for an experienced technical Product Manager / Agile Development Manager to lead the development and growth of their customer facing websites and CRM system.

The ideal candidate will have a technical background, an appreciation of digital marketing, a strong understanding of development and agile principles, and a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.

Applications are welcome from candidates coming from Product Manager, Product Owner, Development Manager, hands-on Developer, Tech Lead or Delivery Manager roles.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Head of Digital Marketing and business stakeholders to define and communicate the technical product vision and strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, build, and launch high-quality product experiences.
  • Use data-driven insights to identify and prioritize product features and enhancements.
  • Document operational processes, amend existing processes, working alongside business change functions to plan and put processes into operation.
  • Oversee the management of third-party suppliers, the relationships and workflow to ensure the business gets value for money.
  • Act as the escalation point for enhancements/operational issues and drive solutions for complex operational challenges.
  • Be responsible for the financial ownership of technical development spend for websites and CRM.
  • Provide both Product Manager and Product Owner skills – establishing road map going forward and working with developers, user stories and working through backlog.

Skills and Experince Required:

  • Understanding of digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, and social media.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and working with development teams.
  • Technically-minded
  • Ability to break down requirements to a user story level, produce acceptance criteria and undertake or coordinate user acceptance testing.
  • Experience of working on CRM projects and being able to roadmap enhancements to the marketing use of CRM data is desirable
  • Experience reviewing estimates and deliverables from 3rd party agencies.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.
  • Experience with integration techniques, webhooks/API’s/Web Services etc.
  • Experience with DevOps tooling such as Jira and/or Azure DevOps
  • A good understanding of hosting environments, security and risk management.
  • Previous experience in Product Manager, Product Owner, Development Manager, hands-on Developer, Tech Lead, Delivery Manager or related role.

Working arrangements:

  • Hybrid - 1-2 days onsite
