Project Engineer in Redditch

A manufacturer of high-end and high-value components sold to both Automotive and Yellow Goods clients globally is now seeking a motivated Contract Project Engineer.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in optimising world-class manufacturing processes.

You'll ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, adopting a culture of efficiency.

In return, the successful professional will be provided with a competitive hourly rate (outside of IR35), flexible working hours, and the chance of a long-term contract past the initial 6-month period.

Project Engineer responsibilities include -Develop clear timelines, milestones, and budgets to ensure projects meet objectives and deadlines.

Coordinate with stakeholders to identify project requirements, potential risks, and opportunities.

Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate roadblocks, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including reports, status updates, and presentations for clear communication.

Analyse existing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.

Project Engineer desirable skills and experience -Experience in a similar position (Project Manager, Manufacturing Engineer etc).

Experience working with diverse teams across process engineering, continuous Improvement, tooling, engineering change and assemblies.

Experience managing BOM, capital investment and expenditure.

Mechanical engineering degree (HNC/HND), or other relevant engineering training.
