Project Manager

• Location: Bristol
• Salary: £40k-£45k
• Type: 37 hours per week - HYBRID

Dovetail and Slate are recruiting on behalf of a leading education provider based in Bristol.

Role Purpose

• To lead planning, execution, and delivery of Estates capital projects. This role involves managing timelines, budgets, resources, and stakeholders for successful project outcomes.
  
  

Main Duties

• Develop and maintain project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Ensure timely, in-scope, and on-budget delivery of all projects.
• Coordinate internal resources, third-party suppliers, and contractors for the projects
• Coordinate project activities, including task assignments, progress tracking, and issue resolution.
• Apply critical path analysis to identify and minimise organisational risk.
• Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, and staff ensuring transparency and alignment.
• Manage project budgets, track expenses, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Utilise verification techniques to handle changes in scope, schedule, and costs.
• Lead project meetings, including kick-off meetings, status updates, and post-project reviews.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, escalating issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution.
• Ensure adherence to project management best practices and standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Evaluate project performance against key metrics and KPIs, making recommendations for improvement.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Relevant certifications e.g. PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2
• Proven experience as a Project Manager
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Critical Path, Agile, Waterfall, Lean, Construction Work Breakdown Structure).
• Experience of successfully delivering strategic projects to deadlines and budget.
• Knowledge of contract documentation and tendering
• Able to pass a DBS check with no previous convictions
