Quantity Surveyor in Barnet

Madisons Recruitment are looking for a Quantity Surveyor on a permanent basis located in Barnet, London. 

Our client specialise in delivering impeccable groundworks and civil engineering solutions, they cater to developers and contractors with excellence at every step.

Projects span a diverse spectrum, ranging in value from £5,000.00 to £2,500,000. They specialise in a comprehensive array of services including site clearance, enabling works, sub-structure works, drainage, RC Structures, and external finishes.

The role offer a Hybrid schedule with 3/4 days site based work.

Responsibilities

• Estimating client bills and submitting tenders
• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain prices.
• Assisting with lump sum tender opportunities and producing detailed BoQ’s
• Assessing the financial, technical, and operational risks of projects
• Working closely with the site team to ensure projects are delivered as per the quotation.
• Producing detailed take offs from drawings and site visits for valuation purposes
• Submitting accurate and fully substantiated monthly valuations
• Pricing variations and managing change control on projects
• Producing detailed measures for material ordering and liaising with subcontractors for orders
• Maintaining effective communication with clients, suppliers, and site team. 

Requirements

•  3+ years' experience as a AQS/QS
•  Experience in the groundworks & civil industry 
•  Driving Licence
•  Happy to travel around London & surrounding counties.
•  Degree or relevant qualification
