FILM AND SMART SURFACE SOLUTIONS (FSSS)

Our newest division capitalizes on emerging trends in displays and in-mold electronics in the automotive industry.  It combines our extensive offering of specialty films for the industrial and automotive industries with our developing portfolio of conductive and non-conductive inks.  The combination of these products allows us to create a formed, structurally rigid three-dimensional part that’s decorative with circuit pathways and enhanced electronic features to enable the human-machine interface in an automobile.

Job Purpose

Commercial Assistant and Data Analyst reporting directly to the Europe Sales Director/Manager. Responsibilities include supporting sales operations, analyzing sales and financial data and assisting in strategic decision-making for the European market.

Job Responsibilities

Data Analysis:

- Employ statistical methods to interpret large sets of sales and financial data

-Generate comprehensive reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market trends

- Collaborate with the sales team to understand data needs and optimize processes

- Analyze data to recommend strategic initiatives for market expansion

- Contribute insights for pricing strategies, product positioning, and promotional activities

Reporting:

- Create visually appealing and informative dashboards for the Europe Sales Manager

- Summarize key findings in concise and actionable reports

- Present findings during team meetings, contributing insights for strategic discussions

Administrative Support:

- Maintain organized and up-to-date sales records and databases

Market Research:

- Work with the Marketing Team to conduct thorough market analysis to identify emerging opportunities

- Provide regular updates on market dynamics affecting the European region

Collaboration:

- Foster effective communication between sales, marketing, and other departments

- Participate in collaborative projects to improve overall business operations

Adaptation:

- Monitor and assess the impact of economic and industry changes on sales performance

- Suggest adjustments to sales strategies based on real-time data analysis

Requirements & Qualifications

Previous experience as a data analyst within a commercial organization, ideally supporting a sales function

Skills

• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
• Ability to read, analyse, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. 
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
•  Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. 
• Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
• Microsoft Office Literate (Advanced Excel user)
• Experience of data analytics tools
