SAP Business ByDesign Systems Analyst

Eastbourne (4 days a week in the office)

£35,000 to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)

SystemsAccountants are working with a company based in East Sussex who are looking to bring on a Systems Analyst focused on their SAP Business ByDesign system.

The successful candidate will have good experience in SAP ByD, have a strong understanding of finance, and will be able to commute to the client’s offices in Eastbourne 4x a week.

Role Responsibilities

• Managing the SAP ByDesign system and ensuring that finance systems are maintained and updated in order to meet business needs
• Acting as a subject matter expert for the ERP Systems – with responsibilities for systems access, maintenance, enhancements, upgrades, and the implementation of new functionality as required
• Project work involving systems and process improvements and implementations
• Managing backend processes
• Ensure consistent information is held across multiple systems, commuinicating with other departments to ensure consistency
• Assist with data migration tasks, formatting large volumes of data using Excel
• Support with the maintenance of other systems, both financial and non-financial
• Facilite susyem xchange and update requests from the Operations team
• Support with system setup tasks for the ongoing SAP ByD project
• Supporting the users of the finance systems and providing specialist knowledge and training
• Liaise with other departments and end-user team members to provide day-to-day support

Essential skills:

• Experience with SAP Business ByDesign (ideally 2+ years)
• Experience with solving 1st and 2nd line ticket issues SAP ByD.
• Have a strong understanding of finance, but doesn’t have have to be a qualified accountant.
• Experience of managing the relationship with a 3rd party SAP support partner.
• Able to work on integrations with other systems
• Experience of working as a super user on SAP ByD.

Advantageous skills

• Backend developer skills ie SQL or SAP HANA.
• Accounting background or qualification such as AAT, degree, or professional qualification preferred
• Knowledge of other systems ie EPM, CRM etc.
