Senior DevOps Engineer in Leeds

Head Resourcing are recruiting on behalf of this leading financial services client who are a dynamic new company in the financial advice market who have a brilliant range of roles available across the IT space.

Location | Leeds, West Yorkshire

Salary | up to £80,000

Key Responsibilities

The role focuses on the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of the core Cloud-based platforms (AWS) and associated systems:

• Design of new solutions in conjunction with the Technology Architects and responsible for taking through appropriate governance and approval channels
• In line with requirements and technical policy design, develop cloud-based solutions
• Where appropriate select new components/systems in line with requirements
• Ensure solutions minimise the need for manual intervention and are automated wherever possible
• In line with business requirements and policy design, develop, test, implement and maintain core SPW Cloud-based infrastructure
• Work with the requisite change, application and business teams to implement and maintain reliable platform services
• Collaborate with Change and Platform professionals to develop and implement solutions
• Work closely with technical and support teams and colleagues across the business and 3rd parties to ensure solutions are documented
• Provide technical mentoring to first line support colleagues and Cloud Engineers
• Work with suppliers to introduce new and innovative features to the estate

Key skills

• Commercial experience as an engineer working with cloud and AWS technologies
• Serverless techs, Lambda, Terraform.
• DevOps
• CI/CD pipelines
• IaC - Infrastructure as Code
