Chronos Energy is working in partnership with a leading utility infrastructure provider who owns and operates some of the UK's largest heat networks.
We are currently looking for a Senior Engineer who will be involved with reviewing detailed design and construction management of district heating and cooling generation and distribution networks.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the evaluating, planning, managing, approving and undertaking plant and network designs for projects.
- Ensuring all generation plant and distribution network designs meet all operational requirements whilst minimising capital and operational requirements under strict SLA targets for return of design.
- Working in conjunction with the other Teams, develop site specific energy strategy and coordinate the design of energy centre and district heating and cooling projects.
- reviewing all design software for the water, heat and cooling design, and implement Standards and Procedures.
- Receiving and logging all water, heat and cooling design and variation enquiries onto TAS, ensuring there is sufficient information to commence design activities.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Comprehensive knowledge across the Water and Heat Distribution Industry in engineering design and regulatory functions
- Experience in the use of AUTOCAD/REVITT/ENERGYPRO and knowledge of the implications of BIM.
- Experience working as a valued member of a design Team within the District Energy sector is essential
- Project and operational management knowledge and skills.
