This is a great opportunity for someone who loves making new products (0 to 1), focusing on value and viability, and owning a product. You will be joining a team who have worked in other Series A startups, digital agencies, and at top tech companies including Booking.com and Sainsbury’s Digital Tech & Data.

Utopi is one of the fastest growing companies in the UK. We are a pioneering scale-up technology business that enables the decarbonisation of real estate. Our platform is currently targeted at the multi-tenant real estate sector, providing a cutting-edge software solution to centralise, control, and monitor IoT devices across a portfolio of buildings anywhere in the world.

This is just the beginning; our platform has tremendous potential to do so much more to help the real-estate sector decarbonise, and that’s where you come in!

Role & responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Product, the Senior Product Manager will be responsible for driving the growth of our new Resident App.

An MVP of the app was successfully piloted earlier this year and we are looking to rapidly iterate it and expand it. With a dedicated full stack product team (product design, front-end and back-end engineering) and working closely with business colleagues in customer success, marketing and sales, we are looking for a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments to lead the Resident App. You will be responsible for driving the app forward.

The ideal candidate is someone with experience in:

  • Conducting user research including interviews, surveys, and testing, to assess product value
  • Reviewing product analytics and BI data to assess product health and viability
  • Ideation facilitation with design, engineering and business colleagues
  • Influencing and collaborating with senior stakeholders
  • Finding product-market fit for a new product or feature
  • Working on a full-stack team including design and engineering
  • Conducting agile rituals

As a guide we are looking for someone with 4+ years’ experience but we care more about the impact you’ve made than the time you’ve spent in role and everyone’s journey into Product is a different one. We value a growth mindset, a willingness to own problems, an interest in building great products, and a desire to make things better more than a person’s time-in-role.

You can find more information about our resident app here:

Interview process

For candidates who are invited to interview for the role, the process is as follows:

  • Initial 30-60 minute interview to discuss the role, your experience, what you’re looking for, and your background
  • A 60 minute case study interview where we will provide you (beforehand) with a product challenge and ask you to present back to us how you’d solve it
  • A 30-45 minute cultural fit interview and a visit to our Glasgow office, to meet members of the team and peers, and get a feel for the company.
  • If successful, an offer

Please submit your CV (incl. a few sentences about why you’re interested).

Benefits

We offer a dynamic and collaborative work environment, competitive compensation, and opportunities for growth and advancement. If you're passionate about software development and want to work with cutting-edge technologies, we'd love to hear from you.

Your package will include:

  • Competitive Salary, up to £75k depending on experience
  • Flexible Hybrid working
  • 34 Days Holiday
  • Private Health Scheme
  • Pension Scheme
