We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Scientist to join a highly skilled protein sciences department of a leading company in Cambridgeshire.
The role:
As a Senior Protein Scientist you will carry out protein expression studies and run Protein Purification techniques.
Responsibilities:
Develop and optimise recombinant protein expression studies
Run and troubleshoot protein purification and crystallisation techniques such as affinity, ion exchange and size exclusion chromatography using Akta systems.
Write and present project reports.
Ensure all work is carried out to relevant standards.
To be successful as a Senior Protein Scientist
You will have a PhD or BSc/MSc in Biochemistry, Biology or protein sciences (or similar) along with experience in protein expression and purification.
You will have experience in affinity, ion exchange and size exclusion chromatography using AKTA systems producing proteins for structural analysis or biophysical screening studies
Experience in GPCRs, Ion channels, CryoEM or X-ray crystallography is highly desirable.
