Hays is working with a leading global commercial real estate firm to recruit a Senior Cost Consultant for their expanding Edinburgh team. With projects that extend internationally and unlimited opportunities to progress, this is a perfect role for someone who is looking to take their career to the next step.

Your new role

Your role as Senior Cost Consultant will vary depending on the value and complexity of the projects being worked on.

You will be managing projects up to £15m as well as consulting on complex smaller projects.

You will thrive whilst working autonomously. Managing and setting your own deadlines relative to project requirements. You will feel confident in taking the lead on contract negotiations and on the various procurement routes and negotiations of contract awards.

You will have the opportunity to work on international instructions. Current projects include locations across the UK, Germany, The Netherlands, South Korea, Italy.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate is MRICS chartered Professional Quantity Surveyor with a mixed commercial background. You will enjoy a varied landscape of work and feel comfortable turning your hand to projects across multiple sectors and scales. You will be mentoring younger members of staff and working closely with other teams on various instructions.
