Service Manager – Veterinary Services

Salary DOE plus bonus – Southend-On-Sea

Our client are a well-established, global high growth company in the animal health industry. Specializing in diagnostics, endoscopy and biomedical equipment. They are looking for a people focused service manager to lead a small team to ensure equipment is repaired and serviced in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Service Operations is responsible for the full operational and people leadership within our Southend service facility.
  • Work with Endoscopy General Manager & Head of Technical Services to create and implement Service strategy.
  • Identify process gaps through route cause analysis to find bottlenecks and other operational or training requirements within the service team.
  • Work with the Service Management team and technical teams as required to ensure a seamless service process.
  • Identify KPIs to evaluate departmental and individual performance within the department.
  • Ensuring the team are working to SLAs and prioritise as needed.
  • Working across cross-departments to ensure customer expectations are met and operational objectives are met.
  • Work with account management team to understand our customers and identify future key opportunities to improve customer relationships or growth opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with our suppliers.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with the global service centres, working together and supporting as required.
  • Responsibility for service centre P&L including growth opportunities.
  • Working with Service administration team to manage stock levels and plan service workloads.
  • Full responsibility for Laser Protection within GB Service Business (LPS duties).

About You:

  • Proven track record of managing & leading a team.
  • Experience in coaching and developing a team.
  • Open & honest communication style.
  • Ability to manage people and delegate tasks.
  • Ability to champion department both internally and externally.
  • Mental health awareness (external course can be provided).
  • Previous knowledge within the veterinary imaging sector would be an advantage however not essential.
  • Ability to build strong, respectful relationships both internally and externally.
