Overview

Our Charities SME team here at Gallagher are seeking an experienced people manager to manage our dynamic team out of our Birmingham office. This role will primarily be responsible for overseeing day-to-day management of team members, ensuring Company, team and individual objectives are achieved, in order to maximise profitable revenues and continual business growth. How you'll make an impact Achieve quality measures as defined by business operating plans for overseeing day-to-day operations Control the distribution of workload to maximise productivity, maintain high output quality and achieve SLAs and KPIs Complete regular appraisals using SMART objectives in line with revenue accountabilities and KPIs Prepare reports reflecting activity and results of the sales effort Maintain oversight of services to key accounts and escalates any risks/issues Carry out checks to ensure the team is appropriately resourced at all times to maximise delivery of the defined levels of customer service Support management to manage and improve the team performance through the development of trained and high performing team members Assist in team support and leadership Referral point for technical and system queries Deal effectively with complex queries and issues that may arise Research, analyse, and resolve service issues for agents and insurersComply with AJG Professional Standards Manual in accordance with statutory requirements for role with specific attention, but not limited to Managing Client information, Whistle Blowing, Treating Customers Fairly Carry out duties following internal policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, good governance and Gallagher’s shared values, in particular, putting clients at the heart of our business About you Holding/working towards one of the Chartered Insurance Institute Qualification: Dip CII/ FIT (Fitness Insurance Test) desirable Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent Good knowledge of general insurance (London Market / Lloyd’s and Industry) products, services, and basic underlying legal principles and practices relating to risk within own role capacity Experience Team leader experience gained in a commercial client focussed setting Good knowledge of customer experience handling within insurance Display business acumen in target/goals achievement Developed/coached a team Proven track record of achieving/exceeding SLA Experience of dealing with complex relationships Demonstrated rapport-building experience Evidence of effectively prioritising risks to manage concurrent workflow Skills/other Excellent interpersonal skills, including listening, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively Strong people management skills Good organisational skills for forward planning Identify potential problems and seek advice/consultation when required Ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities Ability to lead and motivate others Problem-solving mind-set Good level of empathy and engagement to gain trust Highest degree of ethics and integrity in client focus Eligible to work in the UK #LI-JJG Compensation and benefits On top of a competitive salary, great teams and exciting career opportunities, we also offer a wide range of benefits.
