Our market ready platform, VICTA, is an optionally crewed / payload carrying dual-domain platform designed to operate at speed over range, capable of rapid transition beneath the surface to operate submerged, enabling the discreet delivery of effects within contested waters.

Responsibilities include: 

• Software development in C++, in line with the system requirements, including prototyping, design and implementation of new functionality
• Test-driven development
• Deployment, testing and validation, during FAT and sea trials 
• Production of comprehensive software documentation
• Working flexibly with the software and engineering teams to ensure software and documentation are delivered on time 
• Working to the highest safety standards for software development, test and validation
• Working collaboratively with established partner organisations to deliver robust integration of test plans within defined timelines 

Skills and experience: 

Required:

• Degree level qualification in Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or similar
• Software development experience in C++ (academic, industry or personal)
• Fast learner and a team player

Desirable: 

• Software development in modern C++
• General understanding of closed loop control 
• Experience with ROS2
• Experience with mobile robotics projects
• An understanding of basic electronics
• Any exposure to PLC programming
• A proactive individual with strong commitment and self-motivation 
• Willingness to embrace innovation and creativity
